A grieving therapist begins to tell his clients exactly what he thinks
By ignoring his training and ethics, he finds himself making huge changes in people’s lives – including his own… The cast of "Shrinking" shares the most defining moments of their characters in Season 1 and reveals who has the best Harrison Ford impression.. When Brett Goldstein, Jason Segel and Bill Lawrence were asked how they got Harrison Ford to be on the show, Segel said that Goldstein initially wanted a "Harrison Ford type" and would audition people who were similar to Ford.

Segel told Goldstein that they should first pitch it to Ford, thinking he would turn it down immediately, but at least other people would hear that Harrison Ford had brought the project, sparking interest from other notable actors. Harrison Ford plays Dr
Two episodes in, this show shows a lot of promise, the chemistry between the characters is infectious and even weird at times… it warms the heart in ways that most shows don’t, only reminiscent of Community for those elements. I’m not sure if this is an accurate representation of the therapist’s approach to the issues, but it certainly gives Jason Segel room to express it in his own way.
Rhodes, Jason’s boss and mentor of sorts
I wasn’t sure how his character would work in this show, but Rhodes’ antisocial likeness certainly plays into the role of a personality that Ford comes across quite well when we think of the more disturbing elements of his character Han Solo in Star Wars, it just fits like a glove in this show. Somewhat too close, Sean (Luke Tenney) plays somewhat of a son to Jimmy (Segel) as he deals with his own family issues with his daughter Alice (Lukita Maxwell)… What I see here feels so vivid and the possibilities are maybe (?) endless as I see Jimmy navigate these things.
And the music in this show is so good
Btw, the intro theme to this show is so good that I didn’t even miss it when I watched episode 2… Overall this is turning out to be a wonderful show and I hope it only gets better from here on out.
