Line of Events

A contemporary story about finding your fortune in the world of West Texas oil rigs. A landowner, at least one who works in the oil industry, will act as a middleman between geological exploration companies and landowners.

Essentially, they manage the land and secure the lease so they can drill for oil and gas

Typically, a landowner’s job is to negotiate and enter into contracts with landowners with mineral rights to lease those rights to the company they represent. As foremen on a construction site, they build roads, living quarters for workers (men’s camps), assemble earthmoving equipment, and drill the well itself, especially in remote areas.

Very good start to two episodes!

They are also partly fixers, problem solvers, and mediators. Billy Bob Thornton (Tommy Norris) is just great in the lead role.

I noticed Jacob Lofland (Cooper Norris) when he was in the justice system as a hopeful

Ellie Larter (Angela Norris) as Tommy’s ex-wife and Michelle Randolph (Ainsley Norris), Tommy’s daughter, are unbearable, and I’m already hoping something really bad will happen to them! Jon Hamm’s (Monty Miller) character, who owns the company and is Tommy’s boss, might reflect my hopefully unrealized fears about this nascent series.

Big Green: Good!

In short, I fear that creator/screenwriter Taylor Sheridan might go so far as to use bumper stickers and reduce the series to: Big Oil: Bad! If that happens, I’ll change my rating and leave!
