When a sinister threat from his childhood returns to haunt him, a father desperately struggles with his deepest inner fear. Why should they separate the most vulnerable person?
Bagman had an intriguing premise, but it left a lot of questions unanswered, especially when it came to the characters’ decisions. One of the most puzzling decisions was to leave the child alone while the horror unfolded. This seemed illogical, given that the adults were clearly aware of the danger and decided to sleep together for safety’s sake.
Nevertheless, the film had its moments
This inconsistency really took me out of the experience and made it difficult to connect with the survival instincts of the characters. The atmosphere was chilling, and there were some really disturbing walls that kept me on edge. However, it often seemed that the pace was off, with long stretches of build-up that didn’t always pay off.
Despite these problems, I’m actually interested in the sequel
The film laid some groundwork that could go in a great direction. If the sequel takes a better look at the characters’ decisions and strengthens the narrative, it may fulfill the promise that the first film hinted at. There is potential here, and I’m curious to see how it develops.
