Line of Events
A modern day story about making a fortune in the world of West Texas oil rigs.. A landman, at least one who works in the oil industry, will act as an intermediary between exploration companies and landowners. Typically, a landman’s job is to negotiate and finalize contracts with landowners with mineral rights to lease those rights to the company they represent. Like a foreman on a construction site, they build roads, housing for workers (the man camp), assemble the excavation machinery, and drill the well itself, especially in remote locations.
They are well written and entertaining
They are also part Fixer, Problem Solver, and Facilitator, as well.. Featured on CBS News Sunday Morning: Episode #44.24 (2022). I seem to be a fan of Taylor Sheridan’s shows. I’d happily watch anything with his brand attached to it right now.
It’s extremely gratuitous
But what’s with the girl in her underwear and the creepy sexualization of her? It’s extremely weird how obnoxious she is about it. It’s almost so much of a turn-off that you don’t want to watch. I’m invested in the story so far.
I love Billy Bob
I don’t even understand why the women are so unpleasant. The ex-wife is just ugggh. It’s a real head scratcher. Is the show just geared towards drawing men?
